Admission Requirements
Three Categories of Applicants are admitted to read degree courses. Applicants are usually graduated SSSCE or GCE candidates, however mature applicants meeting our addmission criteria set below may be admitted.
The requirements for admission to all degree courses at the university are as follows:
1. Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE)
Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE) of WAEC with passes in core English, Core Mathematics, core Science and three Elective subjects one of which should be Islamic studies. The aggregate score for the six subjects should be 24 or better Core Science may be replaced with Core Social Studies.
2. General Certificate of Education (GCE)
General Certificate of Education of WAEC with at least credit, passes, in at least, 5 subjects (including English Language, Mathematics, Arts and a Science subject) at the Ordinary Level and 3 passes at the Advanced level, two of which should be at Grade D level. A pass at the Advanced level in General Paper is also required.
3. Mature Applicants
Mature applicants with a minimum age of 30 years who do not necessarily satisfy the criteria in (1) & (2) but have demonstrated ability for academic work, may be considered for admission. Such applicants shall have to pass a University Entrance Examination, submit a long essay and pass an interview.
4. International Students
1. Foreign or International students with qualifications equivalent to those in (1) & (2) may be considered for admission. They must, however, show evidence of proficiency in English Language.
5. Conditions
All student Must:
* Qualify in terms of the admission requirements.
* Accept Islamic codes of behaviour.
* Pay appropriate fees as required. A student who does not hold an award granted by the Government of Ghana, or by an institution shall be required to settle all approved fees during or before registration.
* A student with unpaid fee(s) at the beginning of the academic year shall normally NOT be allowed to register for courses or attend lectures. Admission of students to the IUCG shall be subject to passing a medical examination.
6. How to Apply

b. Online Application
If you have internet access you can use our online application facility to apply. It is advised that you read the documentation very well not to invalidate your application. Upon successful submission of the application an email will be sent to you to aknowledge receipt of your application
Payment of Application Fees
If you use the online application facility you will have to pay your application fee of GH¢30 (Native) or $100 ( International Students)
