Communication Studies Students of IUCG Gain Hands-On Experience at Ghana Broadcasting Corporation
Some Communication Studies students of Islamic University College, Ghana (IUCG) embarked
on a media tour to the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) on March 21, 2024, enriching
their understanding of broadcast operations.
Led by Mr. Kofi Dzokoto, lecturer of Introduction to Journalism and Electronic Broadcast
Writing and Reporting, along with assistants Mohammed Abdulai and Mohammed Ibrahim
Ninche, the students delved into the intricacies of radio and television production.
Their journey commenced at the Central Apparatus of Radio Ghana, where they familiarized
themselves with the control room’s gadgets, gaining insights into the technical aspects of radio
broadcasting.
Subsequently, they were escorted to the Radio Studio, where they received a comprehensive
overview of studio operations and the array of gadgets utilized in radio production.
Transitioning to the Television station, the students were introduced to the control room’s
equipment and functions, enhancing their comprehension of television broadcasting.
The tour culminated In the production room, where they witnessed firsthand the execution of
broadcast actions, completing their immersive experience.
Throughout the tour, the students were encouraged to inquire and engage actively, fostering a
dynamic learning environment.
Their curiosity was met with informative responses, enriching their understanding of broadcast
journalism.
Expressing gratitude, the SRC President of IUCG, Yahaya Zidane, representing the
communication students, extended heartfelt appreciation to GBC for providing this invaluable
opportunity.
The media tour not only broadened their knowledge but also reinforced their passion for the field
of communication studies, setting a precedent for future collaborations between IUCG and GBC.

Islamic University College, Ghana (IUCG) Marks the Climax of 2023 with a Get-together for its Staff .
The first semester of the 2023-2024 academic year at the Islamic University College, Ghana (IUCG) has drawn to a close, marking the beginning of the Christmas and New Year break. In celebration of the successful semester and to foster unity among its staff, Management organized an end-of- year party for staff on 22nd December, 2023.
Dr. Mohammed Ameen Kassim, the Registrar, in his welcome address emphasized the importance of coming together to express gratitude to Allah, and encouraging one another.
He described the gathering as an opportunity to appreciate the collective efforts and contributions made throughout the semester.
Acknowledging the challenges faced, Dr. Kassim conveyed the President’s recognition of the staff’s endeavors, assuring that these challenges would soon be overcome.
He also stressed the significance of such a gathering and promised its revival going forward.
Dr. Ibrahim Hussain, the Vice President Academic Affairs, conveyed his appreciation on behalf of Senior Members and pledged a return to work in January with renewed vigor, while affirming commitment to elevate IUCG to greater heights.
Mr. Abdul Aziz Shamhuna, Vice Chairperson of convocation, lauded the organizers and urged everyone to strive for excellence in nurturing IUCG towards its zenith.
Dr. Mohammed Reza Taheri, the Vice President, Finance & Business Development, expressed gratitude for the collaborative work so far under his tenure and emphasized the need for mutual respect among the staff, which transcends religious boundaries.
Dr. Hadi Kamal Ezzat, the President, expressed gratitude for the collaborative environment and extended warm Christmas wishes to all, emphasizing the universality of the significance of Jesus’ birth.
He also expressed his desire to meet staff and their families in future gatherings, attributing their support as integral to the success of everyone’s endeavours.
Furthermore, Dr. Ezzat requested prayers for peace and specifically highlighted solidarity for Palestine amidst the unjust occupation and indiscriminate killings by Israel since October 7.
The get-together ignited a spirit of camaraderie, bonding, and a collective commitment towards the future success of IUCG as everyone embarked on a well-deserved break for the Christmas holidays.

Islamic University College, Ghana (IUCG) Commemorates Sayidah Fatimatu Zahrah's Martyrdom*
The Islamic University College, Ghana (IUCG), honored the memory of Sayidah
Fatimatu Zahrah on December 16th and 17th, 2023, organized by the Office of Cultural
and Religious Affairs.
The commemoration featured two sessions, with Imam Mohammed Abdulai and Sheikh
Yusi delivering insightful presentations that shed light on different aspects of Sayidah
Fatimatu Zahrah's life and martyrdom.
Imam Mohammed Abdulai led the night session, presenting on the topic of "The Death
of Fatimah."
His presentation delved into the Ayaamul Fatimiyah, discussing the dates speculated by
scholars regarding her passing.
Additionally, Imam Abdulai elucidated on the historical inception of her martyrdom,
emphasizing her Will to Imam Ali and recounting the events of her final day.
His presentation provided a comprehensive understanding of the circumstances
surrounding Sayidah Fatimatu Zahrah's death.
In the day session, Sheikh Yusi focused on highlighting the life of Fatimah.
His presentation emphasized the values she ardently upheld until her demise. Sheikh Yusi called upon women to emulate Sayidah Fatimatu Zahrah as a role model, emphasizing her virtues and exemplary conduct as guidance for all. The commemoration at IUCG not only honored the memory of Sayidah Fatimatu Zahrah but also served as a platform to reflect on her life, values, and contributions. These sessions, led by Imam Mohammed Abdulai and Sheikh Yusi, provided valuable insights into the significance of Sayidah Fatimatu Zahrah's life, her unwavering values, and her enduring legacy, inspiring attendees to follow her exemplary path.

*Islamic University College Ghana Commences End-of-First Semester Examinations for 2023/2024 Academic Year*
The Islamic University College, Ghana (IUCG), has today 11th December, 2023,
embarked on a significant academic milestone as it commenced the first-semester
examinations for the 2023/2024 academic year.
The atmosphere on campus was charged with a sense of anticipation and determination
as students prepared to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding in various
subjects.
Amidst the backdrop of rigorous preparations, students arrived at the campus early in
the morning, equipped with revision notes, textbooks, and a focused mindset. The halls and corridors resonated with a palpable aura of concentration as students engaged in last-minute study sessions, quizzing each other, and mentally preparing for the assessments ahead.
The examinations cover a diverse range of subjects across various faculties, including Religious Studies, Business Administration, Communication Studies, and Early Childhood Education. The faculty members, invigilators, and administrative staff were fully prepared to ensurethe smooth conduct of the examinations, maintaining adherence to establishedacademic protocols and standards.
The first day of examinations proceeded seamlessly, with students demonstrating their proficiency and dedication. The atmosphere remained focused yet pleasant, showcasing the spirit of academic pursuit and excellence prevalent at IUCG. The examinations will continue for the next two weeks, allowing students ample opportunity to exhibit their academic prowess across their respective fields of study.The university administration remains committed to providing all necessary support to

IUCG Vice President Urges Public to Consider Enrolling at Islamic University College, Ghana
Senior Members of IUCG welcome new President and Vice President.
The Islamic University College Ghana has yet again welcomed new set of leadership after the end of the tenure of Dr. Ali Arab Khorasani, the immediate past President.
Senior Members on Thursday 14th September 2023 held an interaction session with the new President and Vice President, Fin. & Business Dev’t. of IUCG.
The new President is Dr. Hadi Kamal Ezzat and Dr. Mohammed Reza Taheri, is the Vice President Finance and Business Dev’t.
At the meeting, Dr. Ezzat and Dr. Taheri outlined their vision for the University and called on Senior Members to support them towards the realization of this vision.
Senior Members pledged their support while calling upon the President to ensure that the welfare and personal development of Senior Members is prioritized.
Among Senior Members present at the meeting were Dr. Hussein Ibrahim, Vice President Academic Affairs, Dr. Kobena Gyapea Erbynn, Director of Quality Assurance, Hajj Kasim Mohammed Ameen, Registrar (Ag.), heads of the faculties of Business Administration and Communication Studies, members of Faculty and Snr. Administrative staff.
